FACILITY HIRE

HORSEBALL

Twin Trees in Northill, Bedfordshire offers purpose built equestrian facilities and services, a range of horses and ponies to suit all sizes and abilities with qualified instructors to help every step of the way (maximum weight 13  stone).  (Riding School is closed on

Sundays- although centre is open for other events!)

Formal tuition starts at 6 years old through to adult. Lessons are given in the 60x30 metre All weather Arena and when sufficiently proficient in the paddocks. This gives our riders a good grounding and wide range of experiences in their riding. Our aim is to cater for everyone, adults, children, male and female who may want to sample the excitement of riding for the first time, through to the more experienced rider wishing to brush up on and perfect their techniques!

Lessons are structured to your individual requirements. For some people individual tuition is more appropriate, others find to learn in the social atmosphere of a small group is suitable.

Members may also bring their own horses for tuition both on the flat and jumping.

For more information or questions about riding lessons at Twin Trees call us on 01767 627414 or download General Information leaflet.

WHAT TO WEAR

Riding Gear is quite expensive so here are a few guidelines on what to wear for your first few lessons:

Trousers -something stretchy like tracksuit bottoms. No flared bottoms unless tucked in

Footwear -Boot with low heel and a smooth sole. Wellies are ok provided soles are not too ridged. Sorry no trainers. "Muckers" may only be worn if covered by half chaps.

Long sleeved top -even when hot: offers protection in the event of a fall. Coats & jackets need to be fastened.

Long hair needs to be tied up in a low pony tail or plait. No hair slides to worn under the hat.

Earrings are not to be worn. It is advisable  not to wear rings.

Gloves - recommended all year.

Riding Hat--to the current safety standard      BSEN 1384 or PAS015. These are available for hire.
