WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS

We hope you all enjoyed half term. It was lovely to see many of you over the hols at the Rallies. Several new members attended their first rally which we hope you enjoyed and that you learned lots about ponies. Some of our members participated in mounted games, show jumping and were introduced to horseball.

Here are the dates for up to Christmas so pop them in your Diary:

Achievement Badges Courses (2 sessions to attend):

Tack Cleaning Saturdays 29/11 & 6/12 11.30-1.30

To know the equipment needed, the importance of a clean bit and be able to undertake a daily and weekly clean. Limited places on all courses

Mini Badges (for the younger or new member):

Horse clothing Saturday 22 November 1.30-2.30

Recognize different equipment we use with ponies to include rugs, bandages and boots.

Foot Care Saturday 6 December 1.30-2.30

An introduction to looking after pony's hooves and some of the health problems they could have.

Dismounted Rally13/12/08 1.30-4.00pm

Members to be wrapped up warm for a session on the yard and will be involved in looking after the ponies. Lots to do. See what really is involved in looking after a pony. A fabulous way to gain experience!

Christmas Holidays : Rallies

Members need to be wrapped up warmly including gloves and waterproof coat. Waterproof trousers are

recommended or even a ski suit if cold/ wet! Riders should bring wellies if they have short riding boots for the dismounted activities. Several thin layers work better than a single thick jumper! Extra socks, tights under jodhpurs or even tracksuit bottoms over the top will help! Being outside and not correctly dressed is not fun!

For half days bring a drink and snack. For all day riders require a packed lunch and drink. This time of year for lunch soup, hot chocolate, pot noodles may be brought in as hot water will be available.

Tuesday 16 & Thursday 18 December Half day Rally 9- 12 For those who break up early !

Monday 22 December CRACKER RALLY 9-3 Including lunch- don't forget to choose when you book in! Bring a cracker with you to pull Age 6-12 years Packed lunch not required on this day. Members Only

Wednesday 24 December Nearly Xmas Rally 9-12 Open to non-members too!

Optional fancy dress suitable for riding in! Rosettes and prizes up for grabs too!

Saturday 27 December Pony Club Fun 12-4pm Mounted and dismounted activities for the afternoon. All members will be split according to ability Members only. Plenty of rosettes.

Wednesday 31 December & Friday 2 January Half Day Rally 9-12noon

Monday 5 January Half day Rally 9-12 6yrs and upwards

All DayRally 9-3 8 years and upwards

Booking forms can be collected from the office or email us and we will send them to you. Bookings only taken with correct payment for the activity. Please include your membership details to help us keep our paperwork straight. (Any lapsed membership will need to be addressed in order to receive the discounted rates at the events.) Places are limited at each event so book early to avoid disappointment. (Events can be booked for Xmas Presents)
