Spring 2010 WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS Well done to all of you who have survived the Half term rallies. Monday was rather chilly with each group having a short spell of snow during their riding session! Despite the early rain on Wednesday the weather brightened up and was kind to us. ACHIEVEMENT BADGES - SATURDAYS 1.30-3.00PM Feeding Badge 13 March and 27 March Download latest Tack Cleaning 17 April and 1 May PC Newsletter Mini Saddlery Badge 20 March Mini Horse Clothing 24 April Brownie Badge 3 April This will be a dismounted session on the yard to do the pony care section of the Brownie badge. Please make sure you have read up about the different areas before you come! Please bring badge book. Don't forget members need to be dressed suitably for being on the yard around ponies which includes hat and footwear! Please bring a Pen with you too! EASTER HOLIDAY - WHAT'S ON? Half Day Rallies 1.00--4.00pm 6yrs & over : Wednesday 7 April Monday 12 April Full Day Rallies 10.00--3.00pm 8yrs & over: Tues 6 April Thurs 8 April Mon 19 April ACTIVITIES : Riding tuition - from beginners to experienced riders, Pony care, quizzes and games. We will also be working towards and testing members for Progressive tests. Don't forget to wrap up warm for being outside!!! Extra socks, thin layers, gloves, tights, ski trousers or waterproof trousers. On the half day please bring a snack and a drink for your break. On the All day rally lunch is required….. kettle will be available for hot water to add to soup, pot noodles, hot chocolate if required. On arrival report to the office. An adult needs to check rider's details before they are dropped off. MINI CAMP 1 29-31 March MINI CAMP 2 13-15 April Arrive 9.00am Depart 5.00pm £150 (Early drop off can be arranged from 8.15am if required ) Packed lunch and drinks will be required. A few places left! A great way to improve your riding or catch up those missed lessons due to snow! 3 days of intensive riding with mounted sessions in the morning and afternoon. Suitable for riders of all ages. We will complete an achievement badge too! A selection of activities will be on offer according to the ability of the riders to include some of the following: jumping, mounted games, polocrosse, and horseball. When not riding there will be plenty of time looking after ponies, and for fun and games to keep everyone busy. Packed lunch will be required. Summer Camps: CAMP 1 13-15 July CAMP 2 27-29 July CAMP 3 10-12 August CAMP 4 24-26 August Tuesday--Thursday Arrive 9.00am Depart 5.00pm £165 (Early drop off can be arranged from 8.15am if required) Lunch and drinks will be provided. Presentation of awards and rosettes will be from 4.30pm on the Wednesday. All parents / relatives are welcome to attend the short presentation and join us for a cup of tea/coffee. And finally, we hope to run some more badge sessions as the weather gets warmer and also progressive tests! Keep your eyes on the notice board. Booking forms can be obtained from the office.
